Tinubu arrived in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, at 4:30 pm on Monday.

The president-elect left after the March 18 governorship election.

Tinubu’s communications aide, Tunde Rahman, claimed his leader left Lagos for Paris on March 22 to recover and prepare for minor hajj and Ramadan fasting.

Rahman said the president-elect would organise his transition.

Rahman said the president-elect took a break after the intense campaign and election season to recover in Paris and London before heading to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (lesser hajj) and the Ramadan fasting that begins Thursday.

The trip sparked health rumours concerning the president-elect.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential campaign and supreme court refuted Tinubu’s allegation that he met with Nigeria’s chief justice, Olukayode Ariwoola, in the UK.

The former Lagos governor will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29.
