Stranded Nigerians In Sudan: In the Absence of National Carrier, Air Peace Comes to Rescue again
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Mr. Allen Onyema, the airline’s chairman, said Air Peace would evacuate Nigerians in Sudan for free, it would evacuate willing Nigerians who wanted to leave and return.

Since Sudan’s airspace is blocked to civil aviation, Onyema said the airline would only transport the stranded Nigerians to a bordering nation.

He said he was obligated to act since Nigeria could not afford to lose its citizens in that country and that he would personally ensure the safety of the stranded Nigerians in the war-torn country.

He believes that the government should not handle everything, especially in urgent situations.

He added: “Again, Air Peace is willing to evacuate Nigerians stranded in Sudan free of charge if government can get them to a safe and secure airport in any of the neighbouring countries bordering Sudan. Government should not control everything. We will be proud to provide every Nigerian stuck in Sudan a sense of pride and nationhood.

“We’re ready right away. No delay. We support national pride, unity, peace, and togetherness. Despite national issues, we love and believe in our country. We will rescue them from Kenya, Uganda, or any other nation. Some parents are requesting our assistance. We’ll repeat this”
