Cheta stated that the former governor passed away after a brief illness at the “National Hospital Abuja.”

“Notification of the Transition of DR Chinwoke Mbadinuju (ODERA)” is the title of this document.

It reads, “With sorrowful hearts but utmost gratitude to God for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and associate, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, former governor of Anambra State and senior statesman.

“ODERA, as he was affectionately known, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023 at the National Hospital in Abuja after a brief illness, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
