President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to prioritize the immediate rescue of pupils and teachers abducted from the Government Secondary School and LEA Primary School in Kuriga, Kaduna State. This directive was revealed by Vice President Kashim Shettima during a meeting in Kaduna with Governor Senator Uba Sani, security agencies, stakeholders, and affected parents.

Vice President Shettima assured that President Tinubu is deeply troubled by the incident and has instructed security agencies to spare no effort in ensuring the safe return of the abducted individuals. He emphasized that the President is committed to securing the country and has been actively coordinating with the Kaduna State government and relevant stakeholders to address the situation.

Expressing gratitude for the President’s concern, Governor Sani emphasized the importance of avoiding politicization of the incident and urged the media to exercise caution in their reporting. He highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Kaduna State government, community leaders, and security agencies to facilitate the safe return of the abducted children.

Governor Sani reiterated the priority of ensuring the safety of the abducted individuals and urged the media to support the government’s efforts rather than sensationalize the situation. He assured that progress is being made in the rescue operation and emphasized the need for collective action to address the security challenges facing the region.

In conclusion, Vice President Shettima and Governor Sani called for continued cooperation and support from all stakeholders to ensure the safe return of the abducted schoolchildren and teachers. They reaffirmed the government’s commitment to securing the lives and property of all citizens and urged the public to remain vigilant and united in the face of adversity.
