The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced the suspension of its two-day nationwide protest aimed at addressing economic hardship. The decision came after the conclusion of the National Executive Council meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to a communique issued by the NLC, the objectives of the protest were deemed to have been achieved on the first day of the demonstration, which took place on Tuesday.

The suspension signifies a shift in strategy by the NLC, indicating that the union believes it has made sufficient progress in drawing attention to the economic challenges facing Nigerians.
