President Bola Tinubu has outlined ambitious plans to revolutionize agriculture in Nigeria, aiming to make the country self-sufficient in food production and even become a net exporter of agricultural products. He shared these plans during a meeting with a delegation from the Global Tijaniyya Movement, led by Khalifa Muhammad Mahe Niass, at the State House in Abuja.

Tinubu detailed several initiatives aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, including expanding farmlands, providing low-interest loans to farmers, and making significant investments in irrigation infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of mechanization in agriculture and announced the acquisition of thousands of tractors to facilitate this process.

Regarding healthcare, Tinubu highlighted his administration’s commitment to equipping hospitals with modern equipment, providing training for healthcare professionals, and ensuring comprehensive health insurance coverage for all citizens.

He also pledged support for plans to improve conditions for Hajj pilgrims and underscored the importance of spiritual endeavors in nation-building. Tinubu stressed the need for collaboration between political and spiritual leaders to advance national interests and foster unity among the people.

In response, Khalifa of Tijaniyya, Sheikh Mahe Niass, commended Tinubu for his dedication to Nigeria’s peace, progress, and stability. He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and conveyed the support and prayers of the Global Tijaniyya Movement to the Nigerian leader.

During the visit, prayers were offered for the nation’s progress, unity, and prosperity, with hopes for wisdom, strength, and success for President Tinubu in his endeavors.
