The killing of two traditional rulers in Ekiti State has sparked outrage, leading to expressions of sadness and condemnation from various quarters. Former Governor Kayode Fayemi, now the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, expressed deep sorrow over the incident and condemned the senseless killings. Leader of the Senate, Opeyemi Bamidele, called on security agencies to apprehend the killers and ensure the unconditional release of other kidnap victims. The House of Representatives urged security agencies to deploy more personnel to Ekiti North 1 and bring the murderers to justice. Additionally, the Yoruba Leaders of Thought (YLT) condemned the killings and called for the arrest of the abductors of school children.

The tragic incident, involving the killing of two traditional rulers, has prompted calls for urgent action to address the rising insecurity in Ekiti State. Political leaders and stakeholders are expressing their condolences, demanding justice, and urging enhanced security measures to protect lives and property. The renewed focus on insecurity in Ekiti reflects broader concerns about the escalating criminal activities in various parts of Nigeria, prompting calls for comprehensive efforts to address the root causes and ensure the safety of citizens.
