We Secured Commitments Regarding Several Issues -NLC as they Suspend Strike

The Organised Labour, comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), has abruptly halted its strike action, which had commenced just a day prior.

Festus Osifo, the President of the Trade Union Congress, disclosed this decision in an interview with Arise News on Thursday morning.

Osifo conveyed that the Labour leaders engaged in discussions with President Bola Tinubu and secured commitments regarding several issues raised during the meeting, with assurances of immediate implementation. This development was the reason behind the decision to suspend the strike.

On Wednesday night, the presidency had announced that the Labour unions had come to a resolution to suspend the strike after their meeting with President Tinubu.
