The House of Representatives has approved an amendment to the Supplementary Appropriation Act, 2022. The amendment, which passed through all three readings during plenary, allows for the allocation of N500 billion from the N819 billion Supplementary Appropriation Act, 2022.

The purpose of this allocation is to enable the federal government to provide palliatives to mitigate the impact of the removal of petrol subsidy on Nigerians. Further details will be provided in due course.
