House Committee Opens Investigation into the Controversial Buhari’s Nigeria Air
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The House of Representatives has called the supposed launch of Nigeria Air during the final days of the government of former President Muhammadu Buhari a scam and has called for its investigation into the matter.

After the primary stakeholders in the transaction between the Federal Government and Ethiopian Airlines denied knowledge of the launch, the Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation, Nnolim Nnaji, pronounced the launch of Nigeria Air to be a fraud. This decision was made after the Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation.

The Ministry of Aviation asserted that Nigeria Air had merely been unveiled and had not yet begun operations, but the committee disregarded this assertion as an attempt to shift the members’ attention to something else.

When NAMA revealed that the aircraft flying the Nigerian flag was actually on a chartered flight to Nigeria, the committee members were astounded.

Other stakeholders who were consulted and confirmed the disclosure mentioned that a hired flight might have any colour paint applied to it as well as any inscriptions.
