Dokpesi’s Death is a Significant Blow To The Nigerian Media Industry, President Tinubu stated.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the demise of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, founder of Daar Communications and owner of African Independence Television (AIT) and Raypower, as a blow to the media industry in Nigeria, where he played a pioneering role in private broadcasting.

Tinubu stated in a statement from his office that Dokpesi’s innovative investments in the industry serve as a model for those who follow him.

In addition to expressing sorrow over the passing of the late media entrepreneur, the President stated that the history of the development of the Nigerian media industry would be inadequate without Dokpesi and his enormous imprint on the media landscape.

He added, “I extend my deepest condolences to the management and employees of DAAR Communications, as well as to the family of the deceased media entrepreneur, on this tragic loss.”
