Buhari Heads to London to witness the Coronation of King Charles III

Later on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, President Muhammadu Buhari will leave for London, United Kingdom, to join the other international leaders who have been invited to witness the coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, respectively. The coronation is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 4, 2023.
The coronation is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 6, according to a statement that was made by Femi Adesina, who serves as the President’s Media Adviser.

A Commonwealth Summit will be held on Friday, May 5, to take advantage of the gathering of world leaders in London in advance of the coronation. The Commonwealth Secretariat will invite the Presidents and Heads of Government of Commonwealth countries to attend the summit.
It is expected that President Buhari would take part in the Summit, which will focus on the Youth’s Role in the Future of the Commonwealth and other related topics.
