Former Justice minister and Attorney General of the Federation, Bola Ajibola is Dead

Bola Ajibola, the former justice minister and attorney general of the federation, has passed away at the age of 89.

Sunday morning, according to a family member who verified his death to TheCable, the former minister passed away.

“Asalamaleikun. With profound gratitude to the Almighty Allah… Our father, Prince Bola Ajibola, left this planet at midnight,” a family member wrote.

“May Allah Almighty grant him Aljanah firdaus.”

Ajibola served as justice minister from 1985 to 1991 under the military regime of Ibrahim Babangida.

He served as a judge at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, from 1991 to 1994.

From 1999 to 2002, Ajibola served as the high commissioner of Nigeria to the United Kingdom.

He also served as president of the Nigerian Bar Association for one year (NBA).

He established Crescent University in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

Ajibola died seven years after his wife, Olufunmilayo, passed away in London.
