Why APC Expelled foreign minister Geoffrey Onyeama and former Senate President Ken Nnamani

The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expelled foreign minister Geoffrey Onyeama and former senate president Ken Nnamani from the party.

The party also expelled former governor Sullivan Chime, former state assembly speaker Eugene Odoh, and Voice of Nigeria (VON) director-general Osita Okechukwu, among others.

Robert Ngwu, secretary of the APC, told journalists following the party’s executive council meeting that anti-party activities undermine a party’s ability to fulfil its role and damage the functioning of democracy.

Ngwu stated that the APC possesses audio, text, and video evidence to support the allegation against Nnamani.

The extended state executive committee (SEC), which included local government chairmen and party secretaries, ratified the disciplinary committee’s recommendation and unequivocally approved the immediate suspension and expulsion of the affected chieftains, he added.

“The party is completely aware of the nefarious activities of the previous party administration in the 2015 and 2019 general elections,” Ngwu stated.

“In light of this, the party reviewed various petitions and reports from the fact-finding and disciplinary committees against certain individuals.

Sen. Ken Nnamani, Barr. Sullivan Chime, Hon. Geoffrey Onyeama, Hon. Eugene Odoh, Mr.

The petition was concerned with anti-party activities and other violations of the APC’s constitution.
