The verdict of the Osun State Governorship tribunal has been overturned by the Court of Appeal, which is sitting in Abuja. Nonetheless, Senator Ademola Adeleke will continue to serve as Governor of Osun State.

The initial verdict of the election petition tribunal that found his victory to be invalid and awarded the governorship to his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola, who was a candidate for the All Progressives Congress, was overturned by the Appeal Court.
