On Wednesday, Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, made the announcement that he would be resigning from the People’s Democratic Party.

This news comes just a few hours after his party, the PDP, was soundly defeated by the All Progressives Congress in the presidential election.

Fayose made the announcement of his resignation while appearing as a guest on ARISE TV. He also disclosed that the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, had turned down the idea of serving only one term in office in exchange for the support of the G5 governors.

Tinubu, a candidate for the APC, won three of the G5 governors’ states, while Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party, won two of the states. Atiku lost.

Fayose stated that he will no longer be associated with the PDP after making the announcement of his resignation.

He responded by saying, “Let me put it this way, in party politics,” when he was asked if that was a resignation. Due of the existence of particular facts. I am 62.

“I tell it here from today, I step aside because I must be talking like a leader in this country,” the speaker said. “I say it here from today.”

“Even as early as the month of January or December, I published a warning about this issue on my Twitter handle, and I sent it to the PDP. I warned them that if this problem isn’t solved, the party will be ruined since there is danger ahead. Take a look.

“Your Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, extended an invitation to me to dine at a hotel in Lagos. I informed him of four things, namely that they had four requirements for you to fulfill. First, as at this time last year, you were 76 years old. The G-5 stated that since you are already a candidate, you are not permitted to terminate the pregnancy of a kid that you have already given birth to.

“But let us go back and tell the Southerners that you will spend four years so that it would not look like it will be eight to eight years back to back for the North because Buhari is leaving and he is representing the North regardless of the party,” “But let us go back and tell the Southerners that you will spend four years so that it would not look like it will be eight to eight years back to back for the North,” “But let us

They instructed His Excellency to make his official announcement, but they did not tell him to send it on to any of the G-5 members. That you are going to spend four years and at that time you will be 80 years old, and all of the people surrounding him dispute, saying that they can’t say such a thing, and that when he becomes President, he will say it, who does that?

After that, Fayose blamed the defeat of the party on Iyiorcha Ayu, the National Chairman of the party, saying that Ayu was to blame for the party’s performance at the polls.

He pleaded with the party to concede defeat, stating that they are funding demonstrations against the results of the election.

“It was this Ayu who dragged Atiku through the filth and into the gutters. They dragged him out to the alleyways. You see what happens when a man is unable to come out. At the age of 80, what are his plans for the future?

Fayose said, in response to a video that showed members of a civil society organization demonstrating in Abuja against the results of the election, “Let me first fault the people I saw here today, that are calling themselves civil society.” They are not members of the PDP.

“Yusuf from Oyo State was the individual who initially spoke on behalf of those who are protesting here. He is a member of the PDP and ran for office in 2019. My brother considers him to be one of the best. Also, the young lady hails from the state of Oyo. They are all members of the PDP.

These people are members of the PDP. People are acting this way in order to demonstrate to Nigerians that we are not content with our lives. PDP has been financially supporting and funding a large number of persons who have participated in protests. They travel to a new location and bring back passengers.

If you give each of them N1,000, they will occasionally compete against themselves. During an election that was attended by about 22 million people, you are able to count the number of individuals who are protesting here. You count these folks who are demonstrating,” he told her.

In reference to the race for governor in Lagos State, he made the following statement: “The PDP candidate in Lagos to me, they are people doing drama. When it comes to business, Lagos takes things very seriously. The city of Lagos has a great number of difficulties. I thus urge each and every one of you in Lagos to bring back Sanwo-Olu.
