President-elect Bola Tinubu stated that his victory in Saturday’s presidential elections is for all Nigerians.

Tinubu said this on Wednesday in Abuja, following the presentation of Certificates of Return to him and Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima by INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

While extending an olive branch to those who lost the election, the former governor of Lagos asked them to work with him to establish a better Nigeria.

“I am aware that some of you did not vote for me, and I understand how disappointed you must be that your preferred presidential candidate is not the one receiving this certificate. I want you to know, though, that my door is always open,” he remarked.

“My triumph belongs to all Nigerians, regardless of ethnic or political background. I want to guarantee everyone, especially the youth, that we will construct the nation of our dreams together.”

Wednesday morning, INEC pronounced Tinubu the winner of the presidential election held on February 25.
