Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has claimed that there is a plot to generate a crisis that will delay and disrupt the February 25 elections in Nigeria.

This was declared by the APC presidential candidate on Friday at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital of Ekiti.

“Their plan is to incite you to violence so that the election will be delayed and postponed, allowing them to impose an interim government. However, this will backfire since we are now more knowledgeable,” he remarked.

The previous governor of Lagos urged the populace to remain firm and reject any destructive plot.

In addition, he urged the electorate to ensure they had their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and to resist any scheme by destructive elements to create an interim government following an unwarranted crisis.

Tinubu, who described the people of Ekiti as highly esteemed thinkers, pledged that his administration will not demote them if elected president.

He said, “Have you gathered your PVCs? They would rather keep them than offer them to you. Please continue to be on their neck. Don’t worry, people who seized your funds will return them.”

This comes one week after Tinubu allegedly plotted to thwart the 2023 general elections through fuel shortages and a redesigned currency.

The former governor of Lagos told APC supporters during a rally at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, that there is a plot by saboteurs to prevent the 2023 general elections.

According to the APC candidate, fuel shortages and the redesign of the three naira note will not deter his supporters from voting for him.

“Let fuel be costly; only they know where it is stored. Maintain gasoline and the naira, and we will vote and be elected. You may alter the ink used on naira banknotes. What you anticipate will not occur. We shall win,” the former governor of Lagos State asserted in Yoruba.

He guaranteed the citizens of the state that, if elected, he will end the fuel shortage, describing the next presidential election as a “revolution.”
