Former Anambra State governor and Labour Party\u2019s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi<\/span><\/span>, has declared that he will contest the Peter Obi 2027 presidential election<\/strong> race, insisting that no attempt to block his ambition will succeed.<\/p>\n

Obi made the pledge in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, during the OBIDIENT Conference and official declaration for the African Democratic Congress<\/span><\/span> (ADC), themed \u201cActivating the PO Effect in ADC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Addressing members of the Obidient Movement and party supporters, Obi said he remains resolute about his political future.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to assure you that I will contest the coming election even if it is held in their bedroom,\u201d he declared, adding that if authorities refuse to transmit results, \u201cwe will transmit them for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Obi revealed that he exited the Labour Party<\/span><\/span> after being informed that the Independent National Electoral Commission<\/span><\/span> (INEC) would not recognize the party\u2019s leadership if he remained.<\/p>\n

According to him, he was told the federal government did not want him on the ballot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI left LP when I got informed that as long as I remain in the party, INEC will not recognise its leadership,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
