Debo Ologunagba<\/strong>, PDP\u2019s National Publicity Secretary and Secretary of the <strong data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"642\">National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC)<\/strong> Publicity Subcommittee, the party dismissed rumours of postponement. Ologunagba emphasized that the convention will hold from <strong data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"824\">Saturday, November 15, to Sunday, November 16, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"890\">PDP Accuses APC of Attempting to Destabilize Opposition<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"892\" data-end=\"1063\">Ologunagba alleged that the ruling <strong data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"962\">All Progressives Congress (APC)<\/strong> is behind attempts to derail the opposition\u2019s activities and impose a one-party system in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1064\" data-end=\"1203\">\n<p data-start=\"1066\" data-end=\"1203\">\u201cWe are aware of plots by the APC to destabilize the opposition and impose a one-party state. This will be lawfully resisted,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1477\">The NWC and NCOC reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a successful and transparent national convention. \u201cWe thank Nigerians for their overwhelming support and welcome all delegates, party leaders, and supporters arriving in Ibadan for the event,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1521\">Fayose: PDP \u2018Decaying from the Head\u2019<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1748\">Former <strong data-start=\"1530\" data-end=\"1566\">Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose<\/strong>, expressed concern over the PDP\u2019s internal crisis, blaming it on leadership failure. Speaking on a live television programme, Fayose said the party\u2019s decline started from the top.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1749\" data-end=\"1865\">\n<p data-start=\"1751\" data-end=\"1865\">\u201cWhen fish decays from the body, you can salvage it. But when it decays from the head, you cannot,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1867\" data-end=\"2044\">Fayose, who insisted he would never leave the PDP, predicted more <strong data-start=\"1933\" data-end=\"1947\">defections<\/strong> from the party, claiming that three governors had already defected and more would follow soon.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2045\" data-end=\"2134\">\n<p data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2134\">\u201cGovernor of Plateau will leave next. After him, another will follow,\u201d Fayose warned.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 data-start=\"2136\" data-end=\"2197\">Olafeso Condemns Court Order, Says Convention Will Hold<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2199\" data-end=\"2402\">Also speaking on the programme, former PDP National Vice Chairman, <strong data-start=\"2266\" data-end=\"2282\">Eddy Olafeso<\/strong>, criticized the Federal High Court\u2019s restraining order against the convention, describing it as \u201cjudicial rascality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2404\" data-end=\"2522\">Olafeso alleged that certain individuals were working to destroy the PDP and entrench a one-party system in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2523\" data-end=\"2630\">\n<p data-start=\"2525\" data-end=\"2630\">\u201cWe will not allow this. Good will prevail over evil.
