Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke<\/strong>, has confirmed he is considering leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)<\/strong> ahead of the 2026 governorship election, following weeks of speculation about a potential switch to the All Progressives Congress (APC)<\/strong> or another political platform.<\/p>\n

In a statement released Saturday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed<\/strong>, Governor Adeleke revealed that he is actively consulting with political stakeholders at both state and national levels before making a final decision.<\/p>\n

The confirmation came during a strategic meeting with the Osun PDP leadership caucus, held at the Government House Banquet Hall in Osogbo. Attendees included key figures from across the party structure\u2014ranging from the state\u2019s deputy governor to National Assembly members, special advisers, cabinet officials, and elders.<\/p>\n

Following an extensive briefing and deliberation, the PDP caucus passed a unanimous vote of confidence in Governor Adeleke<\/strong>, pledging to support him in whatever political direction he chooses.<\/p>\n
