Mahmoud Yakubu is not Jega, and Tinubu is not Jonathan. That\u2019s the difference,\u201d El-Rufai said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1122\" data-end=\"1413\">He added that despite widespread skepticism, the coalition is determined to pursue registration to expose what it sees as undue government influence on democratic processes. \u201cWe want to show that INEC isn\u2019t independent and that the government is interfering to suppress credible opposition.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1485\"><strong data-start=\"1419\" data-end=\"1485\">Opposition Coalition Eyes New Platform or Revives Existing One<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1906\">El-Rufai confirmed that discussions are ongoing with influential political heavyweights such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. The coalition is considering two strategic paths: either <strong data-start=\"1693\" data-end=\"1723\">reviving an existing party<\/strong> like the Social Democratic Party (SDP) or African Democratic Congress (ADC), or pursuing the registration of a new political vehicle called the <strong data-start=\"1868\" data-end=\"1906\">African Democratic Assembly (ADA).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"2059\">He clarified that the alliance is <strong data-start=\"1942\" data-end=\"1979\">not a merger of political parties<\/strong>, but rather a movement of individuals committed to building a unified platform.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2061\" data-end=\"2242\">\n<p data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2242\">\u201cWe are there as individuals, not representatives of our current parties.
