When I realized what was happening, I left. Majority had their way, but that doesn&#8217;t mean we all agreed,\u201d Ndume clarified, distancing himself from the group that recently declared support for Tinubu\u2019s re-election bid.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1277\">Ndume criticized the atmosphere surrounding the presidency, describing it as dominated by <strong data-start=\"1134\" data-end=\"1181\">\u201csycophants, kleptocrats, and kakistocrats\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 people who either manipulate power for personal gain or occupy roles beyond their competence.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1420\">\u201cThe President is surrounded by people who deceive him and damage his credibility. He\u2019s isolated from real public sentiment,\u201d Ndume asserted.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1422\" data-end=\"1701\">He lamented that economic hardship, rising poverty, and worsening insecurity continue to plague Nigerians, two years into Tinubu\u2019s administration. Ndume warned that the public frustration could lead to political consequences if urgent, people-focused reforms are not implemented.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1703\" data-end=\"1880\">\u201cThis happened before \u2014 endorsements, money spent, elections shifted \u2014 yet the people voted differently. We\u2019re not learning,\u201d he stated, referencing the 2015 defeat of Jonathan.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"2106\">Despite his criticism, Ndume offered hope, saying there\u2019s still time for Tinubu to turn things around: \u201cIf the right decisions are made now, things can improve within a year.
