ABUJA, Nigeria \u2013<\/strong> Nigeria\u2019s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s administration has recorded unmatched achievements in just two years\u2014surpassing all previous democratic governments in the country\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the inaugural National Dialogue on Citizen Engagement and National Security<\/strong> held Tuesday in Abuja, Idris hailed the administration\u2019s bold reforms and rapid policy execution. The event, themed \u201cOne Voice, One Vision: Uniting Perspectives for a Stronger Nigeria,\u201d<\/em> brought together stakeholders from across government, civil society, and the media.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo preceding government has ever achieved what the Tinubu administration has achieved in two years,\u201d Idris asserted. \u201cFrom abolishing the oil subsidy and forex manipulation to rolling out a student loan scheme and launching CreditCorp\u2014these are monumental strides. We are witnessing renewed confidence, especially among the youth.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also praised the administration\u2019s focus on infrastructure, national development, and policy transparency. According to him, landmark initiatives such as the creation of the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development and support for local government autonomy are already showing impact.<\/p>\n

The minister described the dialogue platform, initiated by the Voice of Nigeria (VON), as a pivotal step toward fostering national unity and rebuilding trust. He emphasized that inclusive governance and mutual respect between the government and citizens are critical for long-term national security.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere can be no national security without national unity. And there can be no unity without trust,\u201d Idris said. \u201cIn times like these, trust\u2014not coercion\u2014is our greatest national asset.\u201d<\/p>\n

Highlighting falling food prices and gains in the fight against insecurity, Idris asserted that the Tinubu-led government\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda<\/em> is grounded in visible results and citizen engagement.<\/p>\n
