This follows the escalation of brutal attacks since <strong data-start=\"440\" data-end=\"458\">March 28, 2025<\/strong>, particularly in Bokkos Local Government Area, where scores of innocent lives have been lost.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"949\">According to a statement from <strong data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"629\">Force Spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi<\/strong>, the Inspector-General has mandated <strong data-start=\"666\" data-end=\"719\">Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Kwazhi Yakubu<\/strong>, who heads the Department of Operations, to lead the mission on the ground. DIG Yakubu arrived in Plateau on <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"846\">April 8, 2025<\/strong>, and immediately met with <strong data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"900\">Governor Caleb Mutfwang<\/strong> to express condolences and assess the situation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"982\">The police deployment includes:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"1194\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"1031\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1031\"><strong data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1031\">Special Intervention Squad (SIS) platoons<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1076\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1076\"><strong data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1076\">Units of the Police Mobile Force (PMF)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1077\" data-end=\"1116\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1079\" data-end=\"1116\"><strong data-start=\"1079\" data-end=\"1116\">Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1159\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1159\"><strong data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1159\">State-of-the-art surveillance drones<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1194\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1194\"><strong data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1194\">Air support with helicopters<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1196\" data-end=\"1359\">The multi-pronged strategy aims not only to <strong data-start=\"1240\" data-end=\"1265\">halt ongoing violence<\/strong> but to also <strong data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1304\">prevent future attacks<\/strong> by establishing an active presence in high-risk zones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1361\" data-end=\"1630\">The IGP emphasized that this <strong data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1421\">reinforced police operation<\/strong> demonstrates the Nigeria Police Force\u2019s unwavering commitment to restoring law and order in Plateau State.
