The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, winner of Ondo State’s governorship election. The results were announced by the Returning Officer, Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, at INEC headquarters, Akure, on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Aiyedatiwa secured a total of 366,781 votes<\/strong>, far ahead of his closest contender, Ajayi Agboola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)<\/strong>, who garnered 117,845 votes<\/strong>, and Dr. Abbas Mimiko of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP)<\/strong>, who received 2,692 votes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
