Speaking to the Yoruba Leaders of Thought at the State House on Friday, President Tinubu emphasized his administration\u2019s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy and criticized state governors for hindering local government development.<\/p>\n<h3>Economic Recovery and Stability<\/h3>\n<p>President Tinubu acknowledged the economic challenges of the past year but expressed optimism about the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been challenging, but also fulfilling. We have stopped the bleeding. Nigeria is no longer bleeding. We will now move to prosperity,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>He reassured Nigerians that the administration is working diligently to turn the economic tide, adding, \u201cThe worst is over for Nigeria. We will prevail.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Local Government Empowerment<\/h3>\n<p>President Tinubu called for a more effective local government system to foster community development within a strengthened federal structure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLocal government administration is being suffocated. States must do what is in the best interest of their administration. We need to adhere to fiscal federalism,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He criticized any attempts to centralize local government responsibilities under the federal government, calling it &#8220;criminal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Infrastructure and Development<\/h3>\n<p>Highlighting ongoing projects in healthcare, road construction, and education, the President urged state governors to focus on people-centric development plans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are committed to ensuring that all Nigerians feel the impact of good governance,\u201d Tinubu stated.<\/p>\n<p>He promised that his administration would ensure value for every kobo spent, aiming to leave a lasting legacy of prosperity.<\/p>\n<h3>Commitment to Good Governance<\/h3>\n<p>The President assured that the administration would upgrade and construct infrastructure across various sectors, including health, aviation, transportation, and education.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNigeria will not print paper money and deceive itself.
