According to a press statement from his family, Ezeife died on Thursday around 6 pm at a hospital in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>He served as governor of Anambra from 1992 to November 1993, holding the position until the military regime of Sani Abacha took over.<\/p>\n<p>In the fourth republic starting in 1999, he was named special adviser on political affairs by President Olusegun Obasanjo.
