Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has proclaimed Umo Eno, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, the winner of the state’s March 18 governorship election.<\/p>\n
Eno received 354,348 votes to defeat his nearest competitors, Akanimo Udofia of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 129,602 votes and Uduakobong of the Labour Party (LP) with 4,748 votes.<\/p>\n
Prof. Emmanuel Adigio, the state’s INEC Returning Officer, pronounced Eno the victor.<\/p>\n
