Governor Fubara Vows to Press Forward Amidst Detractors

Rivers State Governor, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his commitment to ongoing human development projects in the state, despite facing criticism and disrespect from detractors. Speaking at the commissioning of a Comprehensive Primary Health Care Centre in Ndoni, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area, Governor Fubara emphasized his administration’s dedication to serving the interests of the people of Rivers State.

Former governor of the state, Dr. Peter Odili, publicly endorsed Governor Fubara as the political leader of the state during the event. Governor Fubara expressed gratitude for the support received, highlighting his administration’s focus on healthcare, education, and empowerment initiatives, aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for human development.

Addressing the audience, Governor Fubara urged unity and resilience, stating that those disrespecting him and his office would eventually face disgrace. He reiterated his determination to pursue projects that benefit Rivers people, regardless of opposition, emphasizing the positive impact of his administration’s initiatives.

Acknowledging the presence of local government chairmen and supporters of Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike at the event, Governor Fubara emphasized the importance of maintaining the dignity and respect of Rivers State. He warned detractors that their actions would ultimately lead to their downfall, affirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

Governor Fubara dismissed critics who labeled his administration as clueless, highlighting the tangible progress made in providing quality education, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. He emphasized the administration’s focus on initiatives that benefit all citizens, particularly in the current challenging economic climate.

Commending former governor Odili for his community-oriented initiatives, Governor Fubara praised the dedication to philanthropy displayed by Odili and his family. He emphasized the significance of such initiatives in enhancing community welfare and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the commissioning event.

In his remarks, former governor Odili lauded Governor Fubara’s leadership and urged him to remain focused on delivering his mandate to the people. He encouraged alignment with President Tinubu’s positive policies and emphasized the critical role of Rivers State in the nation’s development.
