President Bola Tinubu has mandated the recitation of the National Pledge following the National Anthem at all official and public engagements. This directive aims to foster a profound respect for national symbols, reinforce allegiance to the country, and preserve Nigeria’s core values and identity.

During the groundbreaking ceremony of the 3,112 housing-unit Renewed Hope City in Karsana, Abuja, President Tinubu underscored the importance of honoring national values, advancing the nation’s ideals, and adhering to established norms.

President Tinubu emphasized the significance of the National Pledge, stating, “Before I left home this morning, I asked for a printout of the National Pledge, and we have to relaunch it again at this event.” He highlighted that the relaunch symbolizes a commitment to Nigeria’s values, greatness, and hope. It signifies a pledge to be faithful, loyal, and honest in serving Nigeria with utmost dedication and strength.

Drawing inspiration from recent victories, President Tinubu expressed confidence in Nigeria’s potential for success. He remarked on the collective joy experienced during moments of triumph, emphasizing the importance of positivity and hopefulness in achieving progress.

President Tinubu acknowledged the challenges ahead but remained optimistic about Nigeria’s ability to excel in all aspects. He affirmed the nation’s unity and pledged to uphold Nigeria’s honor, emphasizing that Nigerians are committed to defending their unity and contributing to the country’s advancement.

In essence, President Tinubu’s directive to recite the National Pledge reflects a commitment to instill national pride, unity, and patriotism among Nigerians, while reaffirming their dedication to the country’s progress and prosperity.
