Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has called on all residents, including opposition parties, to join the governance efforts in the state. He extended the invitation during a press briefing after a meeting with fellow All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.

Sanwo-Olu emphasized the need for unity and collaboration, urging everyone to contribute to the progress of Lagos. He highlighted the commitment to accelerate development and improve various sectors, including education, health infrastructure, security, and foreign direct investment.

Addressing the unexpected challenge faced during the last general election, especially from the opposition Labour Party, Sanwo-Olu acknowledged that politics during elections is unique. However, he emphasized the post-election convergence of interests, noting that individuals from other parties have extended their hands of fellowship, expressing a willingness to work together for the betterment of Lagos.

The governor emphasized the citizens’ expectations, such as good roads, security, hospitals, and schools, and reiterated the administration’s dedication to meeting those needs. Sanwo-Olu emphasized that governance is not about party victories but a collective effort to bring positive changes to the lives of Lagosians.
