Another High-rise Building Under Construction Collapses in Lagos

The implosion of a seven-storey building under construction in Lagos has woken the city with another fear of poorly constructed high-rise property.

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) spokesperson Ibrahim Falinloye verified the collapse by stating, “It is on First Avenue, Banana Island, Ikoyi.

NEMA and other emergency responders are currently engaged in rescue operations

The structure, which is located on Banana Island in Ikoyi, collapsed on Wednesday afternoon, the fear that workers may be trapped was quelled it was later revealed by rescue operations and site head count that no one was trapped.
