INEC nominated nine Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) to defend the February 25 presidential election results.

Former Nigerian Bar Association president Abubakar Mahmoud will lead the lawyers (NBA).

Stephen Adehi, Oluwakemi Pinheiro, Miannaya Essien, and Abdullahi Aliyu are also on the legal team (SAN)

Four INEC legal department senior counsel will join Mr. Garba Hassan, Musa Attah, and Patricia Obi.

INEC proclaimed All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu the winner on March 1, 2023.

Major political parties have disputed the election results.

Last month, LP candidate Peter Obi and PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar filed petitions against INEC and president-elect Bola Tinubu.

The presidential election tribunal’s three-man bench ordered Tinubu’s APC to serve petitions.

Tinubu defeated Abubakar (6,984,520 votes) and Obi (6,101,533 votes) in the presidential election with 8,794,726 votes.
