Federal High Court Bars MC Oluomo from Distributing Election Materials in Lagos

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has approved the request of the Labour Party, LP, seeking an order prohibiting the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from utilizing Musliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, to distribute election materials in Lagos.

Monday, the presiding judge, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke, issued the order.

The court enjoined the electoral body (defendant/respondent), whether by itself or by its officers, affiliates, servants, privies, agents, or any person acting or purporting to act for and on behalf of howsoever, from taking any steps or further steps whatsoever in furtherance of the engagement or appointment or consummating the appointment of MC Oluomo led Lagos State Parks Management Committee or any of its commercial bus drivers to distribute 2023 election materials and ballots.
