How Enugu State Governor welcomed Atiku But Snubbed His Presidential Rally

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the governor of Enugu State, was present on Tuesday when Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), held a campaign rally in the state.

The governor who is a member of the G5 governors, a group of five PDP governors at odds with Atiku, was not present at the campaign event.

The governors, Ugwuanyi, Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Samuel Ortom of Benue, and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, are requesting Ayu’s resignation as national chairperson of the party.

Governor Ugwuanyi was there when Atiku Abubakar visited the government house, however he was absent from the campaign rally.

The PDP presidential campaign team also met with the state’s traditional rulers.
